As we age we lose a lot of fatty tissue in the face, this acts as padding and support to the skin, when the fat pads deminish it causes the face to look tired and aging, while contributing to the formation of jowls as tissue starts to sag and droop around the nasolabial folds/cheeks/Jowlels. The key to a youthful looking face is full cheek volume, high cheek bones and defined jawline. This is often referred to as the ‘Triangle of youth’.

The 8 point facelift is a comprehensive, non-invasive rejuvenation programme based on the concept of restoring volume and structure in the face to give the skin support it needs through a combination of 8 precise injection points.

The areas treated all vary from face to face but the main areas of focus will be the cheek area, nasolabial and marionette lines and pre jowl area.

As we age, or if we have lost weight, the little pads of fat, know as malar fat pads, which sit on the cheek bone tend to disappear. this is loss of volume can leave you with a gaunt or sagging appearance. Dermal filler replaces the fat pads giving you a fresh or more youthful appearance.

Nasolabial folds are deeper lines which run from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth. Again, they tend to become more obvious with age. Fillers injected into the lines help plump out the area but for deeper lines it can leave the client looking a little feline like, so with the 8 point facelift we apply filler to the Canine Fossa area to lift the oral area as well as providing further support for the tear trough and cheeks.

To give an all over lift we look at adding filler in the key points for structure, such as the lateral zygomatic bone (cheek bone) where you would typically place highlighter, thus lifting the lower jowls slightly. The medical cheek over the junction of the maxilla and zygoma will also lift the jowls as well as support the tear trough without adding filler to the tear trough area, which is great for clients who may not be suitable for tear trough filler.
